DragginMath: Double-Tap to Factor
Double-tap a number to convert it into a product of its prime factors.
For example, enter 30, then double-tap to see the result 2*3*5. Enter 40, then double-tap to see the result 2↑3*5. Enter 4567890, then double-tap to see the result 2*3*5*43*3541. Double-tap any of these operators to evaluate them back to a composite number.
DragginMath can die suddenly if you try to factor very large numbers. How large is large? On our test devices, it is something greater than 100,000,000, but your results may differ. There are several ways a computer program might deal with or try to prevent a problem like this, where none of the choices are especially friendly. After carefully weighing the alternatives, it was decided that sudden death is the least obnoxious option. In the problems presented in math books, or in real life, you are unlikely to encounter this. If it happens to you, just restart DragginMath to resume working. But be aware that if you try to factor that large number again, it will have the same result.
