DragginMath: Flick/Double-Tap for Red Mode (Basic)
When you touch a node in DragginMath, the node and its entire subtree turns red. This is how DragginMath acknowledges that you are touching the node. Also, when you touch a node, the corresponding character turns red in the Top Text. This helps you see the relationship between what you write and its operator tree.
Once the node turns red, you can drag it in different directions. Dragging more than a short distance causes it to change to other colors, where these different colors denote different modes. Once a node changes from red to some other color, it will not change back to red, or to any other color, until you lift your finger.
When you flick or double-tap a node, it will not turn red, but algebra can happen when you do these things. They are grouped under the heading of Red Mode just because they are not in some other color mode. However, when you redo ↪️ a flick or double-tap, you will see the node turn red briefly during that redoing.
Double-tapping only does a few things, but flicking does many different things depending on what kind of node you flick and the direction you flick. Some of these have links on this page, while others have links on a different page that covers more advanced operations.
