DragginMath: Touch, Tap, Drag… Defined
Just in case you’re completely new to touch-sensitive devices like iPad and iPhone:
Touch means put your fingertip on the screen and leave it there.
Tap means touch the screen only briefly, as with a small impact.
Double-tap means tap twice in rapid succession. If you think you are double-tapping and nothing happens, try doing it faster.
Flick means brush your fingertip lightly over the screen for a very short distance, where the direction of the flick has meaning. This can require some practice. It is more difficult if you are not facing the screen squarely, and nearly impossible if you have long fingernails.
Swipe is like flick, but your fingertip is on the screen for a longer distance. As with flicks, the direction of a swipe matters.
Drag means touch the screen, then move your fingertip without lifting it. When you reach some deliberate destination point, lift your finger.
